Rachel + Eric Chicago Engagement Photography // Lincoln Park South Pound // Chicago, Illinois
These two! I loved spending an afternoon with them laughing all throughout Lincoln Park Zoo. Rachel and Eric were naturals in front of the camera. They laughed, hugged, kissed, held hands and sometimes forgot I was there taking their photos. It was such an amazing and laid back session! So in the spirit of remembering those amazing 70 degree November days, check out a sample of their Chicago engagement session. I am so excited that they chose to spend their afternoon with me and most of all to capture their wedding in August. Yay! Can't wait! Congrats you two!

It's not every November in the Midwest that we can go outside in short sleeve shirts without coats on. However, this autumn was stunning with warm temperatures all the way through Thanksgiving weekend. The leaves were in their prime much longer and I was able to do so many more outdoor family sessions. Yay!
When I met the D. Family in Lincoln Park we were all in awe at the warmth that surrounded us. Little Clara enjoyed the leaves, the sun on her face and of course, crawling all over the Lincoln Park boardwalk. Enjoy a couple of pictures of this beautiful Chicago family!
G. Family Milwaukee Family Photography // Holy Hill // Hubertus, Wisconsin
Holy Hill is a stunning place! Not only is it a home to a beautiful Basilica but the trails surrounding the area are simply magical. Especially in the autumn when leaves start to change colors and create a surreal environement. I was thirlled when the G. Family decided to do their family session at Holy Hill. The leaves were in their prime, the weather was warm and we had a fun time wandering the grounds. Enjoy!
Well it's finally Friday, so I thought it was time to introduce myself and give a little insight into my business. And of course, tell you about a great auction that is happening tonight!
So first of, (as if you already didn't know) I am Dominika and I am a lifestyle photographer based out of Milwaukee. My style is natural, light and fun. I love to photograph families, couples, and dancers. Most clients describe me as laid back, however my two year old daughter would describe me as "momma says "no-no-no." Yup, we are at a fun age.
My husband and I are travelers and have lived in seven different countries. It was an amazing, humbling experience and we wouldn't trade it for anything. Wanna know where we lived, just ask! We are always looking for more places to add to our travel list, so in the recent years my motto has become "have camera, will travel."
I am also a Marquette Alumna. And this brings me to the Marquette University logo you see on this post. I was fortunate enough to earn a college scholarship for tennis. Marquette University has provided me with an amazing education and four years of experiences that I fondly look back on. I made life long friends and even met my husband through Marquette Athletics! None of that would have been possible without the Marquette Blue and Gold Fund. The Fund supports student-athletes by providing scholarships and last year alone it raised $4.8 million in scholarship support.
So in the spirit of giving it's that time of year again, the Marquette Blue and Gold Fund Auction is here! Well almost here, the actual auction is happening today at 5:30 pm, however the silent auction has started online. Make sure to check it out and bid on some great items that will help support our Marquette student-athletes.
And hey, there is also a Dominika Photo family session available!
Mark your calendars, check the website and join us for another memorable evening to support Marquette student-athletes and show that #WEAREMARQUETTE. https://e.gesture.com/events/5i7/
Milwaukee Family Photography // Retzer Nature Center // Waukesha, Wisconsin
Grandmothers and granddaughters share a special bond. Their love is magicial, pure and unrestricted. (Not that our love as parents is restricting but there is a lot more monitoring involved :) Ha! And perhaps a little less spoiling. ) That's why I absolutely adore photographing grandparents and their grandchildren. The sessions have a natural ease and calming presence to them. So sit back, sip on your morning cup of coffee and enjoy a couple of photos from Mimi's fall session with her girls.
Milwaukee Family Photography // Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin
This family was so much fun to work with! There was laughter, tickles and even headstands. As you will shortly see, I had such a hard time narrowing down the photos for this blog. There was so many fun family moments captured and I wanted you to experience and enjoy the warmth and love this family shares for each other. Happy Monday!
When we moved to Wisconsin from a neighboring states we had no idea of the awesome adventures that awaited us. Wisconsin is beautiful! It's filled with rolling hills, forests, miles of beaches and the one and only, Holy Hill! The first time I've heard of Holy Hill was last year. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit it as we have lived in Wisconsin (on and off) for the last ten years. Eeek!
I couldn't wait for the opportunity to go and explore the Basilica and the surrounding trails in the fall. So on late October day we packed up the car and headed to Hubertus for some family adventures. Holy Hill was stunning! The leaves were in their prime and created a magical environment for Eva to explore. For those of you that haven't been to Holy Hill, GO, you won't be disappointed. GO! EXPLORE! Wisconsin awaits!
L. Family Milwaukee Family Session // Doctor's Park, Fox Point, Wisconsin
Thank goodness for this warm fall weather as I've had so many more outdoor sessions. And I LOVE it! We all know that winter is around the corner but in the meantime we can enjoy whats left of these warm-ish days.
So in the spirit of warm days, please enjoy a couple of photos of this wonderful Milwaukee family. I am so thankful that I had a chance to work with them and to get to know yet another Marquette family. Go Marquette!
