First look at Sendai City.

Dan showed me how to use the subway yesterday and we ventured out into the city.

Small streets of Sendai.

And big streets.

The city is huge, its the biggest international city we have lived in. There are countless office buildings, parks, malls, McDonalds (I've already seen 4 but I am sure there are more to discover) and there are two Starbucks! Who needs anything else - oh yea, there is also Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Gap, H&M, and any other store you can think of.
This is the enclosed mall area we found while walking around.

A seaweed stand?! Yes, I would love to try some!

Yum! Doesn't that look great - eeek! haha
It was actually really good (Dan decided to pass) and I couldn't finish the whole thing.
In that instance I learned that Sendai doesn't have trash cans anywhere in the city - I guess a few years back there was a bomb that exploded in one of the trash cans and since then the city decided to get rid of them all.
So I walked around with a bowl of seaweed soup for a few hours.
(Not really, maybe for 15 minutes or so until I found trash can in an alley)

The cleanest subway I have EVER been on.
