A couple of Dan's Japanese friends took us out for sushi.
What a great time!
Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
Cubbies to put your shoes in - you had to take them off to enter this part of the restaurant.
The tables were low and you actually sat with your feet in the floor. Very cool!
Sushi, sushi and more sushi!
We had salmon, tuna, shrimp, tuna with a raw egg, tempura shrimp, fish eggs, sea urchin, sea shells (well the stuff thats inside it) and fried whale! Yup, you heard right fried whale! It looked like small chunks of beef, deep fried - its on the plate in the top left corner.
Deep fried whale!
Isn't he cute!
That's Joe - one of Dan's teammate's son.
He was loving the fish egg sushi as well as the corn sushi! (So was Dan, well the corn sushi....
the fish egg sushi can go in this "not my favorite" column ;)
What a cutie!
He got colorful band aids from one of Dan's teammates and decided to put all of them on his fingers.
No wonder Joe had food coma - we definitely needed a nap after that huge meal!
Mints at a sushi restaurant!
I promise they were real mints :)
