Buenos Aires Chinatown and a Unique Church Tour.

The weather this past weekend was actually very nice.
So much for that predicted rain! However, it did catch up with us because its been pouring all day today.
Perfect day to stay at home, catch up on some blog entries and think about what goodies I can make for dinner tonight.

We live down the street from Chinatown, its a small community with some shops, Asian cuisine, and a Buddhist temple (that I still haven't been able to locate). I wouldn't compare it to Chinatown of New York or Chicago because it only extends through two streets.  The shopping isn't great but I am hoping I can go on a Saturday or Sunday to see some street vendors instead of only the small hodge podge shops.

On one of our walks we stumbled upon a beautiful church located on the other side of our neighborhood. While I was taking pictures someone stopped Dan on the street to explain to him that we should go inside the church and see the alter because it was made by a famous artist. We didn't hesitate one bit and ventured inside. While inside we had yet another person approach us and give us a private tour of the statues inside the church. He only spoke Spanish which made things a little complicated but we were happy to go through some closed off sections of the church.
Everyone here is so nice and welcoming!
