I love checking out the FStoppers website because it gives me daily photo inspiration. I recently read an article titled "The Photographers You Idolize Are No Better Than You" by Lee Morris and it struck a cord. Lee talks about the traits of great photographers and essentially touches on the subject of what makes successful people successful. Successful people are do-ers while the average person is a talker. Successful people accomplish things. "In many cases it doesn’t even matter what they do, they just have to do something, anything, over and over again." This seems like an easy straight forward concept but for many people it's hard to accomplish. We all get motivated at the beginning of the year but come February/March we go back to our old habits. We see some success and with those small accomplishments we feel fulfilled and eventually stop moving forward. Lee talks about how important it is to set a goal but as soon as you reach that goal it's time to set another one. Easy, straight forward concept but it's hard for many individuals to accomplish it on a daily basis. So this year and from now forward, I will AM going to accomplish the goals I set for myself for "talent lies in making your idea a reality." Check out Lee's article and make sure to read the unnamed trait part.
