Capturing weddings are exciting and unique in their own right, but what I genuinely loved about Katie and Jefferson’s special day was the light, fun, and laid back aura the couple exuded from start to finish – two truly amazing people to work with. This special couple had so much fun with their respective bridal parties, and their photos certainly show it! Katie and Jefferson got married in Madison, Wisconsin, and their event was nothing short of a beautiful, quintessential Madison wedding. They did their first look at Camp Randall – the football stadium on the campus of the University of Wisconsin. When Jefferson saw his new bride walking toward him, he quietly teared up – such an emotional, indescribable moment to document! These Badger fans also had their bridal party photos captured at Camp Randall! In fact, as if luck would have it, Katie’s new last name is Badger, too! Talk about fate! These two, University of Madison alumni tied the knot at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Tying the knot at a Catholic church meant a great deal to both of their parents, as this is a special, sacred tradition among both families. Afterwards, the lovely couple headed to several iconic spots around Madison for their photos such as The Capital and Union Terrace. Katie and Jefferson’s reception was at the Orpheum Theater, steps away from the Capital! During the couple’s wedding-planning process, they aimed to have an elegant, classic, yet fun, feeling for their reception. Well, Katie and Jefferson definitely captured that! The men wore dapper, classic, black tuxedos and the ladies were draped in long, elegant, coral dresses. The floral arrangements added splashes of white, green, and other spring colors around the theater. The couple’s classic, relaxed style was felt through the very last detail of their lovely reception. Katie and Jefferson, thank you for allowing me to document your once-in-a-lifetime celebration! I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness as husband and wife. Love + Appreciation, Dom Wedding Venue: The Orpheum Theatre

Beautiful wedding! You are both adorable! We are Jefferson's mother's 1st cousins once removed. Her father, Walter Gallagher, was our grandmother's brother. He had been adopted by the Gallagher's by the 1900 census. That was the last we knew of him until last month. We wish we had met your dad when he lived in Eau Claire! We hope to hear from you. Best Wishes.

Sorry, I was so excited I skipped a generation. Dan & Jefferson's dad, Jeffrey, were 2nd cousins. Jefferson's grandmother Frances is the daughter of Walter Gallagher, Dan's grandmother's brother. Walter was adopted after his father died & his birth family lost touch with him after his adoption by Michael & Anna Gallagher.

I'm a photographer, but not a wedding photographer. I photograph many churches. Empty. I viewed this page because I was at Q of P for the first time today and was awed by the Easter Mass. I am so glad I saw your photos. They are in-the-moment, capturing the mother of the bride's first peek and the gents Jenga game. Honestly, had I not been married in 1980 in California, i would have chosen you as our photographer. As a [not people] photographer, I would love to have your blessing to recommend you to Wisconsin folks. Thank you for making the rest of us photographers proud and humble! Happy Easter!
