I'm the first to admit that I have Olympic fever every 4 years! I can't stop watching it; so many sports, so many amazing athletes and so little time to squeeze it all in. With Olympic fever in full swing this summer I was honored when my sister-in-law called me to see if I was interested in photographing an Olympic athlete for 2013 Women of Curling calendar. Mmmm, of course! I was totally onboard! So in August we ventured out to the Mill City District of Minneapolis to photograph Cassie Potter, a Winter Olympic athlete. She was an absolute sweetheart! Cassie is an American curler best known for her apperance in the 2006 Winter Olympics and the 2005 Women's World Curling Championships. Not only she is an amazing athlete but also a beautiful girl and I was honored to photograph her. Every year the Women of Curling Calendar raises funds for a worthy charitable cause, this year the the recipient charity is the Canadian Spinal Research Organization (CSRO) under their main fundraising program "Shoot For A Cure Curling". CSRO raises money to seek the cure for spinal injuries and paralysis. The calendar will be sold in Canada, the USA and Europe starting in November. If you are interested in purchasing the calendar please check out the Women of Curling Calendar Website. Love her outfit?! I sure do! Check out these great H&M finds:

Great photos of a beautiful young athlete. Wonderful contrast -- pink / black outfit with the background. I applaud your choice of pics where you don't 'use sex' to attract attention to the shoot. Nice work, Dominika. I will follow her career in the upcoming Games. Thanks!
