Washitsu. Japanese Style Room. 

Beautiful Washitsu room I stay in while in Akita. 
Traditionally all Japanese rooms used to be in this style, however nowadays Japanese homes only have one of these rooms to entertain guests, etc. 

Fusuma. Sliding partition doors covered with beautiful paintings. 

Tatami. Floor made out of straw.
